Chose the cruise based on desire to cruise through the old locks of the canal as well as wanting to visit the ports. First time having anytime dining so hard to compare service versus traditional dining. Food was better than previous cruises on the Emerald and Diamond. Enjoyed the Chef Table experience and Chef Eddie and Maitre D’ Daniele hosted an exceptional meal and event.
Rating would have been higher, but ship is showing it’s age. Dry Dock in January is needed and should enhance overall appearance of the ship. The Coral being a smaller ship made it very convenient to navigate the decks. Enjoyed Chris Roberts presentation for each of the ports and effort put in on day cruising through the canal.
Enjoyed the entertainment except for comedian on day one. Female rock singer was very good and I enjoyed her very much but obviously too loud for a lot of passengers.
Cabin was nice but cabin steward could have done better job on thoroughness of cleaning. Upon entering cabin, had sticky soda residue in top drawer of bedside nightstand as well as crumbs on carpet between bed and nightstand. Peeling paint and rust along balcony hopefully will improve with dry dock.
Copalita Archealogical Exploration was a waste of time. Nothing much to see and only good archealogical sites were on the post cards of other locations in Mexico shown to us by the tour guide. Could have stayed home to see the same pictures. Only good part of tour was that it was completed by 1:30 giving us time to have a margarita and tacos along the beach before getting back on the ship.
Enjoyed tram ride over rain forest. Enjoyed viewing sloths, butterflies and frogs.
