The Norwegian Sky was our very first cruise ship (10 years ago) so holds a special place in our hearts. It is an older ship and is scheduled for a much-needed refurbishing that is scheduled for the end of January. We were in a regular balcony room and while the rooms are smaller than on the larger ships, it was very doable for the 2 of us. We were traveling with our adult daughter, 13 year old grand-daughter and son and daughter-in-law. Between the 6 of us we had 2 regular balcony rooms and one inside room. The inside rooms are much smaller than the regular balcony rooms so be aware of that when you book a room. We had read some reviews that noted an odor throughout the ship. We only noticed a slight odor in Dazzles. We did see several places throughout the ship that looked like something had been split on the carpet and the crew had scrubbed it and had large fans set up to dry the carpet. We ate some at the buffet, once at Cagney's and the rest of the time at the Palace (one of the 2 main dining rooms). We found the food in all venues to be very good. On past cruises on the Sky, we had some difficulty finding seating at the buffet but did not have that issue this time. We loved the piano man who performed in Cap't Cooks. His name was Antonio Jose and he was very good. Our room was kept clean by the room steward, however we didn't meet him at all through the cruise. The first port was Key West where we were able to just walk off the ship and walk around the town by ourselves. The second stop was to be at Great Stirrup Cay but it was cancelled because the waves at the island were over 10 feet high which meant that they were not able to get the tender boats off the island and over to the ship. So that ended up being a day at sea and we were given a revised Freestyle Daily with lots of additional activities to help spend the extra time onboard the ship. The last port was Nassau and since we have been there numerous time, we decided to stay on the ship. The other 4 members of our party did the beach day at Blue Lagoon booked using the NCL app on their phones. Their tickets were delivered quickly and they loved the beach and all the activities that are available at Blue Lagoon. We utilized the walk off disembark which worked out really well for us. We had a great time and would definitely consider sailing on the Sky again.

This was a regular balcony room and was fairly small. The bed was very comfortable.
