We survived Frances at sea. Princess did a wonderful job at taking care of us, changing our schedule to different ports, and avoiding all of the bad weather. For that my 13 year old son and I are truly grateful.

HOWEVER, there was a lot of confusion during the hurricane weekend, caused in part by the storm's slow movement. I believe that the Captain should have made more frequent announcements and updates. Also, despite the fact that we were provided "free internet and phone use", did you know that a ship that large only had SIX phone lines available? They finally added two more, bringing it to a grand total of eight. Communication with earth, travel agencies and/or family was impossible. Of course, as the Captain kept announcing, if you had booked your air through Princess, you were completely taken care of. We had not. We eventually docked Monday, flew out of FLL on Tuesday, and arrived home Tuesday night. A thank you to the graciousness of the Embassy Suites on 17th Street for taking us in.

The balcony cabins are more than spacious, and our cabin maintained well. Smoke odors appear to be a problem on this ship, but by the third day our cabin had aired out.
