This adventure was a family cruise. There were a total of 10 of us. First of all, getting a seat outside in the sun was a struggle every day. One of us got up at 6am each morning to go sit outside and save some seats till everyone else woke up. If you were on deck after 10am -- you would be hard pressed to find a single seat. Cruising is about sunshine and relaxing.... but hard to do when you can't find a place to sit outside. We also purchased a alcoholic beverage card. The drinks were very watered down. We could literally drink all day and feel just fine. When we got off the boat and had a drink, you could immediately tell the difference. So best to stick to beer or wine. The food was ok. Having been on several Carnival cruises before, I was disappointed that the food was not up to Carnivals usual par. In addition, the dining hostess was downright rude. Piano bar was THE WORST. I have always enjoyed going to piano bar, but spent a total of 15 minutes in it on this cruise. Piano player was horrible and was insisting on $20. to play certain songs. Barely spoke english. Forget the pool completely. Small and crowded with kids. Spa treatments disappointing. Long lines for all entertainment ... and if you were not in line you weren't gonna see it. Not that unusual, but Noro-Virus was spreading around the ship. My 13 year old nephew got it and we took to the doctor for some meds and fluids. $500. charge. The cruise was not all bad. There was some good entertainment. There was a very fun Mardi Gras celebration. Guys Burger Joint was good. They had an adult game night that was hilarious. The dining staff was pleasant, and very attentive. The Alchemy bar was fun. Room was great. Housekeeping was great. Comedy club a blast (as usual).

For me, the lack of seats in the sun, and watery drinks were a deal breaker. Done with Carnival forever. Their prices are good but not if you can't enjoy the sunshine.
