Always wanted to visit China and found the Viking trip highlighted everything we wanted to see without having to make our own arrangements to get to the different places. Everything was very well organized and the staff were excellent, our tour guide was fabulous and gave really interesting information about the places we visited. It was a remarkable experience! The trip began in Bejing with visits to Tiananmen Square, the forbidden city and the Great Wall. Transportation to and from these places was very well coordinated. Air transfer to Xian was very easy. The terra cotta warriors, enamel factory and Tang Dynasty dinner and show were included in that transfer. All were great! From there we took a plane to Chongquin to embark on the river cruise part of the trip. There was plenty to see and do, once on board, and the ship was beautiful. The staff were very attentive and nice, the food was great and the educational offerings were very interesting. If you wanted down time there was space for that and also areas to Socialize. There were several interesting stops in places near the river. The river cruise ended in Wuhan and continued to Shanghai. Both of those places were beautiful and all of our accommodations were top rate. A trio of a life time.
