Sail Date: Dec 2018

This was our fourth cruise on the Solstice since 2013 and will probably now only rebook if I am offered a great discount with an included drinks package.

We had an Aqua stateroom which was very nice with lovely staff looking after our room. However, we were just as happy when we stayed on deck 6 on previous cruises! One of the ‘perks’ of Aqua Class is the use of the Persian Garden Room in the spa area which sounds great in theory, though good luck getting a lounge to relax on - too many people stayed way longer than the 30 minutes and didn’t worry about keeping others waiting. Spa staff weren’t interested in moving people on to allow others a turn.

Staff were friendly and professional. I really noticed how expensive $$$ everything had become, particularly the price of drinks (priced in US dollars which raised the cheapest price of a glass of wine to around A$15-$16).
