The Breakaway is a fantastic ship! Embarkation was a fairly easy process, although there were thousands of people getting on board at the same time. Disembarking was fairly easy as well, although I thought that having to stand in line outside for an hour wasn't great. I thought that the groups were called too close together and too many people were trying to be scanned off at the same time. I think that maybe the groups could be called at longer intervals, making it a smoother process getting off the ship. Getting off for shore excursions was very easy! The ship pulled up right to the dock (except for Grand Cayman), and we walked right off. There was always some type of transportation to and from the boat, which made it very easy, because some of those docks are long!! I loved the way the crew met us at the dock with a cool washcloth and a drink before we got back on board. Very refreshing!
All the public spaces on the ship are incredible. So many pretty places to gather as a group or to sit for a quiet conversation or game.
I loved all the venues for dining, especially the Manhattan Room. The food was excellent except at the Cirque de Solais. That was definitely not worth the price we paid. Other than that one meal, I was truly pleased with the food. We ate at the Garden Cafe every morning for breakfast and lunch. The variety of food that was offered daily was fantastic; there was always something new to try.
The cabin was beautiful. We loved the balcony, and used it often. I slept on the sofa, and it was extremely comfortable!!! This was an upgrade for us, and it was worth every penny!!!
