Not being aware of this website, and only being able to draw on my Navy experience and the few sporadic times I watched the 'Love Boat' on TV, I knew this was going to be a real eye-opener.

'Boarded the Fantasy in Mobile, after bravely enduring the 'cattle-call' atmosphere of the embarkation building. I guess that part could have been worse - funneling 2000+ people through the process would be an monumental job.

Once on board, we waited in the 'Windows On The Sea' dining room aft on the Ledo deck approx 2 hours until our cabin was ready. Upon entering our cabin, the wife, who doesn't like cold rooms, immediately shut off the air conditioner, and it remained off the entire cruise. If the cabin had been equipped with a heater, she would have put it to use. I think lack of room heat would have been the wife's biggest complaint for the cruise. For me, it wasn't a big deal.

Cabin Review

Cabin U147

Small but adequate for 2 adults, located reasonably close to elevators.

No noise from other cabins or public space, but there was a random light clanging noise coming from behind inboard bulkhead - didn't bother me but the wife mentioned it a few times.

I thought the room was adequate, but next time I'm going with a balcony.
