Overall, a wonderful cruise with an enjoyable itinerary. Any annoyances were minor and are well documented by others (bathroom design, shortage of elevators, smoke from casino. Perhaps the annoyances would have carried more magnitudeif we were first timers, but we have come to realize that there is something to complain about on every ship of every line if one looks hard enough. I loved the size of the ship and the r3ultant variety of activities and entertainment available. Although we encountered a few sullen staff in Taste, most of the crew were very friendly and helpful (especially the cruise director’s staff). The entertainment was awesome, perhaps the best of any cruise we have been on (except for a specialty cruise on the Pearl featuring some of the best Blues musicians in the world). The activities were a wonderful way of meeting like minded cruisers, some of whom have become dear friends who we hope to cruise with again. We loved our stops in Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Roatan and Cozumel where we had a chance to experience the flavour of the countries we were visiting (Harvest Caye and Costa Maya had an antiseptic manufactured atmosphere that we didn’t enjoy as much). The embarkation at Canaveral was efficient but disembarkation had a hiccup in that 5 or 6 customs officers were not nearly enough to handle 4000+ passengers (obviously not NCL’s fault).
