Papua New Guinea was of historical interest as my father fought there in WWII.
Alotau and Rabaul were of particular interest to us, we booked shore tours off the ship and can thoroughly recommend them. And Kitava, Kiriwina and Conflict Island were all beautiful with really good snorkelling and swimming.
Both embarkation and disembarkation were very easy and quick, and our cabin was ready for us straight away.
We chose traditional dining so ate in the same dining room each evening with the same people. Our stewards were amazing and very attentive. The food was great, and there was always something on the menu to suit individual tastes.
The shows at the Princess Theatre were varied, some were great others not so much, plenty of seating but the earlier show time filled up quickly.
Movies under the Stars was very enjoyable and a nice relaxing way to spend a few hours.
We really enjoyed the whirlpool spas and pool on deck 14 at the back of the ship, adults only, lots of sunlounges, and quieter than the main pools and spas.
Our cruise was over Christmas so the ship was decorated beautifully, very festive.
Overall a very enjoyable 11 night cruise, can definitely recommend it.
Inside cabin on the Pool deck, easy access to the outside deck and Horizon Court Buffet was the deck above.. We had the cabin set up as a twin berth as it gave us more room to move around.

Booked independently with Rabaul Scenic Tours, was excellent.
