The itinerary for this 12-day cruise was excellent. I liked the variety of islands. I was a little disappointed with the ship. I was on the Gem last year and felt that had better public spaces. The Escape is geared towards the Haven areas and other exclusive venues. The workout room is much smaller, spa is smaller, theater seemed smaller (1 level versus 2 on the Gem), card room/library smaller. This ship has like 1000 more passengers than the Gem and smaller public areas???? Huge amounts of space were allocated to “fee extra” areas like the Haven , the Supper Club etc. I still had a Good time but the more I sail with NCL the more I feel nickel and dimed and a second class passenger since I do not book suites. I’ve been on almost 30 cruises in the last 25 years and not sure I will go any more. One plus- the entertainment was absolutely fantastic. Excellent shows. Friendly actors, singers and dancers who were friendly and nice around the ship. This is one area that NCL excels at.

Cabin Review

Inside Stateroom

Ok. Smaller than I thought it would be. I’ve had balcony cabins last few years and booked this one to save some money. Still ok because I’m rarely in the cabin anyway.
