Our cabin was very nice well organized and very functional .  Although it was not one of the larger cabins we were very comfortable in it.  The fact of the matter we were out of the cabin or seating on the veranda most of the time.  The cabin had plenty storage space, a good quality bed, and adequate seating.

Our bus trip out to the Viking village, museum and cemetery was very interesting.  Our tour  guide made the trip.  She was very knowledgeable, articulate and interesting.

The bus tour give us a great overview of the city and many of the historical structures of the city.

The walking tour through the old city gave us a great flavor of what the old city would have been centuries ago.  The tour was very interesting.  It was great to have some personal time to explore on our own.

The tour of the city provided an excellent overview of east and west Berlin.  Once again the tour was made because we had an excellent tour guide who was a Berliner and had lived through the days of having family member living in Russia East Berlin while he and his parents lived in West Berlin.  His personal experience brought a wonderful context to the whole tour.

This was the only tour that had a major challenge.  The train from the port to Berlin and back was not air conditioned.  With the abnormally hot summer in Europe and no air conditioning on the train the trip back to the ship was VERY VERY uncomfortable.

The walking tour of upper and lower old town provided a good perspective of the history of the town and the history.

This tour was beyond all expectations.  Our tour got into the museum early before the mass of people were allow in, therefore we were able to see the art etc up close.  Further our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable -- she would help us understand the art and the artist better than any art museum I have ever been in. Since we were the first group in she would position us in a way to achieve the best understanding of the art.

The palace was interesting but our tour group was strung out to the point that it was somethings hard to hear our tour guide.  This was caused to the many of the rooms in the palace are fairly small and the palace personal kept the tour moving fairly fast.  However the real bonus of the palace is the palace gardens.  They are spectacular.

Great bus ride out to Porvoo and personal time to explore the town.  Our tour guide was from Porvoo so she had very interest stories.  After visiting Porvoo the bus stopped in Helsinki's main square to allow us to walk around the area which give a sense of Helsinki.

This was another highlight of the cruise seeing the old ship that sunk in the 1600s on its maiden voyage.  Also lunch was very enjoyable which included Swedish meatballs.

The bottom line of this cruise is it exceeded every expectation at every level.We selected this cruise for two general reasons (1) the countries it visited particularly including Norway and (2) Vikings reputation as a premier cruise line.
