I had high hopes for the newly designed EDGE and was really looking toward this cruise . That said it became very apparent that Celebrity had a swing and a miss on their hands. The first indication was the day we arrived and asked where the library was located. We got blank stares from the crew because someone in authority yanked the library out and apparently did not communicate the fact or the reasoning to the crew.

Then we found that Celebrity did away with the equivalent of a Sky Lounge on other ships. There is no equivalent inside bar to the Sky Lounge on The EDGE. No place for Elite and up passengers to socialize with fellow cruisers and watch out over the bow at the ocean.

One might suggest that the EDEN in the stern might fill that void but there are these nonsensical performers walking and gyrating around at the same time musicians play overly loud music eliminating the ability to have a conversation.

Cabin Review

Sunset Veranda Stateroom

Cabin SV

Room was nice but needed a few hooks on wall for robes A little more room for long clothes (dresses and slacks) in closet Lots of nooks and crannies for storage once you find. Need a table for breakfast like other ships. Oily soot problem

Port Reviews

St. Maarten

All that was close to ship was a bunch of high priced shops. If the town was so far away the ship should have provided a shuttle
