Norwegian Dawn Cruise Review by surfone
- Sail Date: December 2018
- Destination: Caribbean
- Cabin Type: Balcony
We ate at Le Bistro, our favorite of the specialty restaurants on NCL. Love the french onion soup. Other times we ate mainly in the Venetian dining room and never had to wait for a table for just two. One night we ate at Aqua but never returned, it was too loud and crowded. We ate one time at the Garden buffet for lunch and was just okay. Plenty to choose from though. O'sheehan's was good for late night snacks. Chicken wings were very tasty.
Our ports each day were easy on and off. Enjoyed St Lucia and by far our favorite island.
The entertainment in the theater was very good and the aerialist couple were by far the most entertaining.
Our room steward was great and so were 99 percent of the crew. They always greeted us with hello, good morning, etc., It was just my husband and myself so I cannot review the kids areas. We enjoyed the mojito bar and champagne bar (try the lavender martini, oh boy, it is the best)
The pools were full and we did not get in but since this was an extensive port cruise (only one sea day) we didn't miss it and usually don't get in the hot tubs which we couldn't if we wanted to because they were full every time we walked the lido deck.
This was our 5th NCL cruise and prefer the Dawn from all of them so far. The size is just right. We booked the Canada/NE cruise on her in May out of NYC.
We've cruised with Celebrity, Carnival, HAL and RC and have enjoyed all our cruises so far with NCL.

AntiguaHired a taxi driver for an island tour. Went to Shirley Heights which is a must and Nelsons dockyard, was very interesting to see and would go back. Dickinson Beach is beautiful.View All 1,518 Antigua Cruise Port Reviews

BarbadosTook a taxi to Bridgetown, and as soon a we got out we were hounded by so many trying to get us to try an island tour, but at a extreme. We were in another taxi within ten minutes taking us to Carlisle Bay Beach. It was okay but have seen much nicer beaches. Next time we will plan ahead and do an island tour.View All 1,485 Barbados Cruise Port Reviews

Island TourBooked online with Cosol tours and was the best experience of any non-sponsored ship excursion. Very professional. Snorkeled at the Pitons and went to the rain forest, waterfall, mud bath and prepared authentic island food. Highly recommend.View All 232 Island Tour Reviews
