Sail Date: Feb 2010

This was our 11th cruise and our 2nd on Princess. We sailed on the Caribbean Princess on a 4-day "sampler" in May 2008 and were anxious to send more time on one of her sister ships. The Emerald Princess is just beautiful! The central atrium area is lovely and everywhere you look there is brass, glass, soft colors and light. No place ever seemed that crowded. Hard to believe there were 3000 passengers on board!

Getting on the ship was easy and quick. Getting off was the usual "gather in XYZ at such and such time" but it went well -- I cannot complain. In between the two were 7 very enjoyable days.

We were 6 traveling together - 3 cabins all told. We love a bargain and so opted for inside cabins, mid ship, on the Aloha deck. The layout makes the most of the square footage with the side hall between the closet and bathroom. Check out the diagram on the cruise line web site and you will see what I mean. The layout combined with the mirrors and soft colors makes for a very nice cabin.

Cabin Review

Ours: inside cabin, mid ship, Aloha deck 12

Use of mirrors and soft colors makes for a very pleasant cabin. The beds were comfortable. The layout makes the most of the square footage with the side hall between the closet and bathroom. Cabin was quiet and certainly enough room for 2 people for 7 days. Very pleased.
