I travel with a group and this cruise was decided upon by the group. We had previously done several Viking River cruises. This was our first Viking Ocean Cruise, so we were not sure what to expect. The ship was new and fabulous. It was easy to learn and get around to restaurants, pool, lounges. It was beautifully decorated and immaculately clean. The staff was so friendly and attentive. After meeting us a few times, they greeted us by name. If there was anything we needed, we received it promptly. The food was excellent—wine was offered with our meals. Because of some inclement weather, we missed 3 ports, but the captain tried to find alternative ports. He succeeded with one. Weather is beyond anyone’s control, and we were disappointed, but the crew did their best to find activities and cultural enrichment presentations to occupy the passengers in lieu of excursions. Even with the glitches, we loved the experience, so much so that our group has booked another Viking Ocean cruise for next year,
