We decided to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary doing what we love to do. Cruising! we were also joined by my cosin and his wife who were also celbrating their 50th. Being Diamond members and living close to Galvenston made the decision to sail Liberty of the Seas very easy. Although the Galvenston termanal needs much to be desired, Embarkment was very easy. We were on the ship in no time at all. After getting a "qick bite" at the buffet it was off to or balcony stateroom. We were very satisfied with our stateroom apperance and layout. We then proceeded to get the layout of where everything was on the ship. The Promanade deck was decorated for beatifully for Christmas. Also expect to see an exellent varity of bars, shops, a cafe and a pizza resturant. I have to say the pizza was very good! also the cafe was very nice to finish off the day with a coffee or capiccino. Entertainment was OK. The had comedians and their big production was Saturday night fever. The dinning room is outstanding! Great service and great food. We had perks of a lunch and dinner at the specialty resturants. Nothing to brag about. Food in the main dinning room was of the same quality. Great gym! Disimbarkment was went well. GREAT CRUISE!!
Cabin was well maintained daily by our cabin steward. Balcony door was hard to open but manageable. The size and layout of our balcony room was very nice, relaxing with no surprises. My daughters purchased the anniversary welcome package. Our room was well decorated for the occasion which was a pleasant surprise when first entering our stateroom.
