I only went on this cruise because I was invited and paid for by family. I don't want to know how much it cost them, considering how laughable the cruise was.
The buffet was generally gross. Breakfast items like scrambled eggs and bacon were average (how can you mess those up?), and "advanced" items like salmon fillets were revolting. Almost all the food was lukewarm, nothing ever being actually hot. No wonder everyone on the ship gets sick. It's all breeding grounds for bacteria. Food is definetely on par for the 70+ crowd. Think IHOP.
The dining rooms were fine, the food being what I like to call "fine-industrial". It's fine-dining, but it somehow manages to still have that industrial, mass produced flavour. It's an enigma. Maybe I am used to a higher standard of cooking, but none of the fine dining food was on par with a restaurant on land. Maybe Olive Garden?
