We chose this cruise for the Christmas markets in Germany.
Our Gate1 Cruise was wonderful. We had a substitute ship,Monarch Queen. This was due to low river levels but we were able to cruise the entire trip.
It turned out to be lovely. Staff was all great , especially the servers in the dining room.
Cabin was very nice. Lots of storage.
Bathroom quite good for a river ship.
Located on the middle deck.
We had a walking tour.our guide was a young gentleman and he was great.
Regensburg is a medieval town with lovely architecture.
My rating for this is not as high since we had only a short visit here.
Most was on a coach because we went out of town the the Nazi parade grounds.
Very historical but not as much time for the Christmas market which was quite large.
As we were there in the evening it was all lit up so that was special.
This city has a wonderful palace which we visited with a guide.
The Christmas market was very enjoyable with lots of food and things to drink.
Our ship was parked way out in a container port. Therefore, they did have a shuttle into
Town and back.
Our walking tour was very good. It it was Sunday so many stores were closed. The Christmas markets was open and the most decorated of the ones we visited.
We were overnight here.
