What we enjoyed:
Food was excellent in the Silk Dining Room. Jean our waiter did a wonderful job along with his associate. The variety and temperature of the food was great. The service was quick and the one mistake we had with a steak temperature was quickly rectified. Had a voucher for free special dinner & lunch, ate at Chops for both, was ok, but don't spend money on it as the main dining room was better.
The variety of venues to eat was great. We really liked the solarium café as a getaway from the crowds.
We really liked the RCCL All Access Tour as it gives you an interesting look at what it takes to run a large ship like the Oasis.Worth the money for this one.
The Aqua show, Frozen and the Headliner were great shows. We did not see others as I made the mistake of making reservations for the late shows thinking the early dinner service would take too long to make the first show times. My fault on that one.
What needs improvement:
The boarding process – confusing, not enough signs as there were so many people there, they blocked the signs and staging areas. More RCCL people are needed to assist.
The activities for 55+ while at sea. Since we are not athletic, rock climbing, surfing, basketball, ice skating, ziplining are not for my wife and me. The art auctions and watch/diamond shopping is ok to look at, but then you are done with that activity.
How about a current movie in the Opal theatre during the day? How about a cooking class demo? How about dog/cat club discussion? Or a veterans group, an IT computer group discussion? There has to be something other than Bingo for our age group other than sitting in a bar with drunken people.
Please make your voice heard to make the Casino smoke free. We were able to tolerate the smoke free side for a short time, but even quickly walking through the other side, I starting coughing from the smoke. The smoke actually got in our clothes even sitting on the smoke free side. There has to be an area on deck you could dedicate to the smokers.
Lastly, If you are not allowed an extension cord in the cabin, RCCL needs to provide outlets near the bed. We had ours confiscated. They will not returned it your cabin on the last day, instead they made us stand in another line outside of the terminal to retrieve our property.
Taste of Nassau Walking Tour: Captain Ron our tour guide did a wonderful job of providing history and stops a restaurants to sample the food in Nassau. I would highly recommend it. One note: Not a tour for limited mobility – due to the stairs involved and the uneven streets of Nassau itself.
St. Thomas Sightseeing and Shopping Tour: (Sunny Listion Tours) Worst tour we have ever taken on a cruise. Had to ask multiple people where to find the guide at the port. There is no access for limited mobility. They had to fold up my wife’s walker and shove it in front of her to hold on the bus. The bus dropped us off at a flea market type area for shopping. An hour later we had a different guide who just said get on a different bus. The trip up the mountain was like Mr. Toad’s wild ride. There are no doors or ropes/chains to keep you from sliding out of the bus. Had to lean in from the side of the bus to keep from getting hit by tree limbs along the road. There roads are very narrow with scary hairpin turns passing other vehicles. We got off the bus parked on a hill at the top of the mountain. When we left to go down the mountain to the beach for a few people, we had to switch buses again. There was very little narration for this wild ride through St. Thomas. I would not recommend to anyone and it should be removed from the AAA list for member safety or have a warning placed on it.
Our cabin was clean and our cabin stewart Ericson did a great job maintaining everything. But the mattress in our cabin did need to be replaced as it has developed a sunken area in the middle.
