Just got back from a wonderful week aboard the Norwegian Sun. Had some trepidation about going, as had read some less than complimentary reviews. Also felt that I would be disappointed because we had cruised Holland America, which is supposed to be a class above. My fears were not realized. While the ship was not five star all the way, everything was at least very good, with some parts being excellent.

The ship itself was very good. We had an inner cabin (a poor choice on our part as contrary to a Caribbean cruise, there's a lot to see, and it would be nice to watch the scenery from your own balcony), and it was small, but clean, new and functional. The public areas were great, and best of all, they didn't push the casino gambling or bingo.

Entertainment was great; especially the evening shows. They had a very professional broadway type show(we paid big bucks locally to see a musical review of similar quality to the ship's show), the talent they brought in was excellent. They had dance teams that were world ranked. And there was always some show or entertainment to take in - Holland America had much less to offer.
