We chose this cruise because it was porting out of New Orleans. After reading multiple reviews of this ship we were feeling very apprehensive as most reviews were only 1-2 stars...... however this ship is absolutely amazing. There are so many restaurants and bars on board that we did not even make it to all of them but where we ate the food was always fresh and delish. Other travelers said the same thing about the restaurants, including ones that we did not dine at. We purchased the drink package and had our fill of cocktails always served by pleasant quick service. The bars are steadily busy so you may have to wait a few minutes but you are on vaca! OSheehans bar had some of the best chicken wings we ve ever had and offered all night service. There was ample entertainment on board. It is Freestyle but you still did need to make some reservations....... if that’s your thing, just be mindful of that so you don’t miss out on what’s important to you. The production Burn the Floor was a well orchestrated FUN production, fiull of energy and the theater was grand! The ship offers art showings, casinos, onboard shopping. interactive theaters, dialing piano s,.......It’s anything you could need to stay busy, NOT even considering the kids activities!!!!!! A giant rock climbing wall and water park on board!

We did not purchase any excursions as we wanted to relax and not be on the go! But we did go ashore at all the ports. In Cozumel the water and beaches were pretty. Belize Citty was very economically poor as we ventured all around on foot. The beach is a taxi ride away so we did not see the beaches. Harvest Caye is a man developed island but it is done well with lots of beach, sand, seating, plants & friendly service. They did offer a shuttle that covered most of the walk. Costa Maya we rented a golf cart and tooled around for a while which was fun. The beaches there are not expansive but we’re pretty white sand and pretty green water. All of the ports offered lots of tourist shopping and vendors hawking their wares. As well as lots of water excursion/activities you could purchase. Getting on and off the ship was compatible to other cruises but there is LOTS of walking!!!!!!! They have to park these giant ships far enough away to fit! So be able to walk FAR or make other accommodations. LOTS of walking to get off at the ports. All in all a lovely well thought out cruise/vacation that I would definitively recommend!
