We usually sail on Carnival, however, I'm glad we booked the Ruby Princess for our 7-day Mexico cruise. We were platinum and were upgraded to a junior suite. Our room steward was excellent, he parked his cart across from our stateroom so we received excellent service. Carnival could get a lesson in ship design, Ruby does not put a band next to guest services. The horizon buffet food was excellent, very diversified. The main dining room food was very good with spacious tables. The pools were heated, unlike Carnival's cold water. The music was top notch, the mariachi band was good, and the best piano player I ever heard and I was in the business for 18 years. Anyone who complains about this ship should stay home. It is a ship and not a boat. Calling this ship a boat is like calling Mount Everest a hill.
