This was our second trip on a 'mega ship'. Our first was on the Oasis, and with the Allure being its sister ship, we noticed great improvements in many aspects. Crowd management was excellent (except for disembarkation). The lines at embarkation, guest services, the buffet and especially at the 'anytime dining' venues were much shorter than on many smaller ships. The only places where finding a seat was often difficult were the comedy lounge and the ice show arena.

Food and service in the anytime dining restaurants were very good. The onion soup especially was great.

We had the el-cheapo inside cabin and we were very comfortable with it. It is roomy enough for a weeks trip, was very clean and well equipped. Unfortunately they still only offer the poor quality, made in China toiletries. So if you want clean hair and a decent soap, bring your own.

Port Reviews

St. Maarten

One of the best ports in the Caribbean. Walk to shopping and to the beach. Very good prices.

Labadee

Great beaches. All very walkable, but they also have trolleys to take you around
