Wanted to do a fun short cruise with our adult kids (in their mid/late 20s) visiting from out of town. We have sailed with NCL numerous times. We purchased the Cabana on Great Stirrup Cay and that was the highlight of our vacation together and a really good "shore excursion"
But overall this was a cruise I would not do again, even if it was free. This ship is 20 years old and it shows! Though it was refurbished in 2013, the guest rooms are tired and show their age. More importantly, the entire ship smells of sewage, and it doesn't matter how fabulous anything looks, tastes, or sounds when it smells like sewage. It was hard to enjoy my free drinks or fine dining with the smell of latrines wafting through the air. The crew was not service minded--they were clearly irritated with many of the passengers and just looking forward to guests getting off the ship or going to bed. This was the WORST cruise I have ever been on, and I am happy it wasn't longer than 3 days! I usually buy the NCL "cruise next" specials and this cruise was enough to make me decide NOT to plan to sail with NCL again.
