We have been on many cruises and have had great experiences on our last couple of NCL cruises. Unfortunately this cruise was a bust and not a good value or experience. While an older ship, it’s review claims recently renovated. However, unlikely that any customer-facing renovations have been as the shop had a raw sewage smell throughout. Honest staff acknowledged the stench while others in managemt wither denied or justified. One such justification was that the venting system was old and another was that the wind outside was blowing the sewage smell inside. In addition many of the public restrooms were out of order. All of the jacuzzi tubs were broken and either had cold water or were drained. The pool had to be drained as well. Many of the decks were being painted and had “wet paint” signs posted. Shower water regulation was broken as well and alternates between scalding and cold water. Toasters were broken as well and one of the buffet food lines served cold lines served cold food. We attempted to dine at a fee to dine restaurant (Cagney’s Steak house) as we had some on prior cruises. This one is a bust as the sewage smell permiates the dining room and the meal was poorly prepared. I recommend avoiding this ship.
Cabin was as expected. Only issue is that the cabins located on the 10th floor are beneath the public dining halls and subject to noise.
