I am rewriting this review to insure that unsuspecting customer read an accurate accounting of our experience with Norwegian Cruise Lines. We all expect that such an adventure will not be “perfect” but seriously this company is the worst. With 20 cruises under our belts with Princess and Celebrity we were lured away by the enticing itinerary.
Check in was pretty much the same old thing although most of our experiences for this portion were abroad. Aside from staterooms not being ready all appeared OK. The announcement was made about an hour and a half later that we could proceed to the staterooms as desired. It wasn’t until later in the afternoon that I noticed that the settee was stained with fecal matter. That was pretty nasty! I decided to walk down to the guest reception area and just happen to run into the Hotel Director and made him aware of the problem. It was handled very quickly.
The “Sun” claiming to have been recently renovated was a pretty poor example of a refit and simply put you can put lipstick on a pig but it’s still a pig. What a disappointment. Having been in the Yacht and Ship business for well over 20 years there is a certain expectation of quality which this ship, its crew and its services simply doesn’t have.
Other than the fecal matter on the settee upon boarding the room was adequate. Location good and minimal noice
