My husband and I have never been on a cruise. A couple that we know have been on this particular ship before and made it sound as though it would be perfect for first time cruisers who didn't want to be around a bunch of kids. We decided to take this cruise along with them. We decided to book a Jr. Suite because online it had a bigger balcony which is what we were interested in. We made sure to add all gratuities with our fee. We also paid for the Alcohol beverage package and Vroom for two devices. We were pleasantly surprised with our Suite. It was extremely nice and worth the extra money. Having the Alcohol beverage package was also a good investment.

The first problem we had was upon boarding. The only place you could go was the Windjammer. That is where EVERYONE went. There were no seats available. Families (which there was a lot of) would sit their two kids at a four person table while the parents sat at a two person table just next to them. This is why there were not a lot of seating available. Too many kids were on this ship. The elevators took forever and when you did get an elevator, it was usually packed. We squeezed into one elevator, only to have a woman with a double stroller force her way in with her two kids and as she shoved her way into the elevator, her stroller ran over my husbands foot. She didn't even apologize. Kids were running up and down the hallways and the deck areas. The hot tubs were full of kids, even parents with their infants who wear pull-ups, so you can only imagine what was in the water.

The adult only hot tubs and pools were no better. There was a couple making out in the pool so we just decided the pool areas were not for us.

The cabin was the only thing we truly enjoyed on this cruise.
