This is our 3rd time on this ship and although the design is not very good the staff make it a good experience. We were on here a week after the terrible norweigen star so it was a pleasant surprise. Last year we were disappointed with the entertainment but this year it was brilliant. The cruise director Andre was one of the hardest working ones I have seen in a long while on Norwegian, most appear lazy and it was great to see. The food was ok in the 2 restaurants, in Cagneys it was fantastic as usual. The Garden cafe was very poor as it was the same day in and day out, some carvery meats were good.if you like chicken (most days)the you were in luck. We have seen the standard of food go down over the past few years so we were not surprised. We actually took advantage of their bring your own wine, paying a corkage fee which is fine. As you cannot bring liquids in hand luggage we put it in our checked luggage which was delivered to our room 3 hours after our 1st case at 7.30 pm. A nasty letter was inside saying they had confiscated our 4 bottles of wine as they were prohibited items (clearly idiots who don’t know their own rules) which was bad enough but our case was ransacked meaning a lot of ironing to make it worse. When reported to guest services they didn’t care, no apology or follow up which is typical. Other than this the cruise was good but we are still going to other cruise lines in future as Norweigen standards are clearly dropping each time we cruise with them. MSC are matching the latitudes members levels so our next cruise in January is booked with them and instead of $99 a day drinks package theirs is around $35!
