My husband and I chose this ship as we heard a lot of good things about it so we decided to try it out on the Sydney to Auckland journey. We were not disappointed! This is our 6th cruise and I must say it was one of our best experiences. Destinations around the north and south islands were very good which gave us a taste of how beautiful and picturesque New Zealand is. Definitely a place to return to in the future.
From embarkation in Sydney to the last day in Auckland, our time on this beautiful ship was exceptional, Service, food and experience was great and the many bars and chill out areas around the ship suits everyone. Activities on the ship were very entertaining especially the daily commentary from Captain Tasos.
The only negative about the cruise was the nightly entertainment in the main theatre as there was only 2 nights (Mo Town and Rock City) which were very good, but the rest of the shows were a bit to be desired.
Speciality restaurant package is great value and thoroughly recommend booking early for these. We booked Aqua Class and had the privilege of dining in the designated Blu Restaurant, however, no bookings can be made for this restaurant and the wait can be up to 30 mins and food is mediocre - we only dined here one night. Buffet has a large variety of food from all nations which is very good, however, the speciality restaurants was our favourite!
Cruise Director, Rich, is great value and very entertaining, especially his daily banter with Activities Director, Lauren, on the TV.
Fully recommend you try this ship as there is so much happening all the time.
Cabin was always clean and tidy and cleaned twice a day. Cleaning staff did a great job and were very friendly.
Recommend this excursion as it gives you the history of how Speights Brewery began with all the old machinery displayed as a museum on the same site where the beer is made today. After tour the beer tasting began! Great beer and cider!

Booked on Hop-on Hop-off Bus and was great as there were up to 10 persons in a mini van. Driver was very informative and stopped at a number of places.

Disembarkation is a bit of organised chaos as the port is very small and traffic is pretty bad, however, there are always a number of staff directing traffic and people to the right areas. Make sure you leave plenty of time as you can be waiting for a taxi around 45 mins.
Just walked around the town to see the beautiful art deco of the whole place.
