This was our 54th cruise, 12th on Celebrity.
The interior of the ship is magnificent. Our cabin was the most beautifully decorated cabin we have ever had ( Sunset veranda ). The Martini Bar area is spectacular, the new main dining rooms ( Cosmopolitan, Tuscany, Normandie and Cyprus ) were beautifully decorated and the food and service outstanding. The Eden area was lovely during the day but at night when the "entertainment" started it was like a Cirque du Soleil show where the performers are all on LSD. They had a woman on a rope swing hanging in the air, slowly looking around as though she just shot up heroin and her compadres, walking around, looked just as drugged. This is entertainment??? Someone missed the boat on this.
Another thing we noticed was how much the ship shuttered at times, including while docked in Costa Maya. At first we thought this may be due to our location aft but our friends located mid ship reported feeling the shutters too. We even felt them while up top, walking on the walking track. The shuttering was intermittent, frequent and felt just like a ship at sea feels when it hits a wave and causes a shutter throughout the ship. What could be causing this while docked? The wind was gusty but not particularly strong, the seas weren't that rough. We decided it could be secondary to the new infinity balconies on both sides of the ship. These balconies, for the most part, were closed while docked, presenting a solid wall to the wind. Was the gusting wind hitting this wall along with the waves the culprit? The shuttering stopped once we sailed away.
Beautifully decorated, nice bathroom, large balcony (not an infinity balcony in the aft cabins)
