We wanted to see more of NZ, but the cruise was so boring that I’d recommend just flying to your desired destination. The internet was so expensive and slow, there weren’t any books of value in the ‘library’, you have to pay $6 for a bottle of water, the tv is rubbish with the same show/movie set on repeat for the whole day and the average age of the year other passengers was around 90 years old (but good for them for getting out and about). The ‘entertainment’ was so lame that it was too cringe to withstand for more than two minutes at a time. The shore excursions should be renamed ‘pay $150 to sit on a bus for 6 hours-destination seemingly irrelevant.’ The shopping was very limited and expensive. There were many places on the ship that had a stench of a highly frequented and filthy public toilet that’s never been cleaned. Speaking of which, our cabin’s toilet became blocked twice and it’s contents overflowed on to the floor and none of the staff were in any particular hurry to do anything about it. The Lotus Spa is lovely if you’re rich and can afford around $215 per treatment where the therapists will insist on talking to you throughout your entire treatment. Do not take a child or teenager on this cruise. There is literally nothing for them to do, not even a kid’s channel on the tv. Of the 4 pools, none were heated and it was often far too cold to swim in them at all. The sky walker nightclub is bloody hilarious. And the decor is straight out of 1974.

A ship or floating palliative care unit?

Cabin BA C333
All fittings and carpet are old, musty smelling and need updating. Mould in shower is unacceptable.
