About once a year, my coworker and I take a cruise on whatever RC ship is in Cape Liberty, since we live locally. The stops are pretty much the same very year. We mainly go to the beaches when we are on an island. We usually get 4 -5 sea days. There is plenty to do onboard, if the weather is good. My favorite activity was the Escape Room, which you sign up for when you get on the ship. Second favorite was We Will Rock You, the play based on the songs of Queen.

We had assigned seating, second at 8:00. I was looking forward to experiencing gourmet meals. Meh. Perhaps many people have expressed a desire for bland food, so that is what the menu reflected.I was a little disappointed that my favorite dessert was not served until the very last night. I had been asking for it most nights. Only after the cruise did I realize an outstanding waiter would have made my desire known to the chefs and arranged for my dessert to appear at least oncce before it's actual scheduled appearance.

Not a big issue since I was trying not to overeat while on board. The dinner menu made that possible.

Cabin 4U

I miss the curtain that separates the sleeping area from the living area as was on the Explorer. The side tables are small and open. The outside door did not always close securely!

Port Reviews

St. Thomas

Went to a beach with a cab. Shade and fish visible to the naked eye. The cab driver stopped at a souvenir stand. I bought a toy turle to help the economy.

St. Kitts (Port Zante)

Another cab ride to the beach, and leaving before my companion. I found a couple of palm trees that i could set up "camp". So many butterflies flitting about, it was enchanting.

St. Maarten

Walked to the beach. Being a Sunday, the shops did not open until 11:00, but mass was available for those who wanted it. Some of the buildings are still destroyed, but St Martin is slowing returning to its pre hurricane beauty. I love watching the mountain goats frolick on the cliff top.

Antigua

Another beach via local cab. I wanted to leave earlier than my friend since there was very little shade and i was already burnt. I appreciate that the cabbies explained the pricing policy. I then had time to go visit the old deserted church in town. Walking in town can be uncomfortable as it is dirty.

San Juan

We got there too late to do the beach or rum factory, but i do enjoy walking around, seeing the fountains and pigeons and the old cemetary.
