I chose this cruise because I wanted to share the experience of a nice ship and warm weather with a great friend. My cabin and overall experience on board was great. The dining room service was wonderful as was the food. My experience when being off the ship is another story. My first excursion on a glass bottom boat in the Bahamas was terrible. Not only did we see few fish, but I got injured when a screw from a faulty seat punctured my leg. Back on the ship, I had to jump through hoops to get an appropriate response. I spent nearly 1.5 hrs with guest services and 2 hrs in medical prior to being compensated. My next excursion on dune buggies in Cozumel was also less than average. The dune buggy was faulty and would not stay in gear. The snorkeling during our beach portion was cancelled and we could not get in the water, but we still spent 2.5 hrs staring at the gorgeous beach and water. This was a let down on our tropical vacation. In Honduras, we had a wonderful time at Gumbalymba, but were unable to enjoy the beach as our tickets didn't tell us about the beach. Lastly, in Costa Maya, we tried to cancel our excursion as the beach location was changed last minute from a private beach to a crowded beach. We were told that despite being given the permission the evening before onboard, that we now could not cancel. We were talked into going on a magnificent scenic tour where we saw garbage near a lighthouse, a fishing pier surrounded by what looked and smelled like sewage, and a beach that smelled like gasoline. Royal Caribbean was informed about our unfortunate experiences and was unable to provide adequate compensation for the last 3 excursions. This is the first time I have had a problem with the excursions on RC, but as far as I am concerned they failed miserably at solving the issues and thus ruined my vacation.

One other issue I encountered aboard was the added technology confuses the cruise experience. The paper copy of the daily compass, the app, and the personal electonic calendar on the TV each give different times and details for events. You must follow the paper copy for accuracy while aboard if you want to take part in all activities.

Beyond the shore excursions, the ship itself is gorgeous and has a lot to do while onboard. The entertainment is amazing.

The cabin was adequate and clean. The cabin service was not as great as previous cruises.
