We are elite members on Celebrity. We finally convinced 2 couples to try a cruise and join us, so we thought a 5 night cruise would be a great introduction. We booked A2-- cabins 1104, 1106, and 1108. Knowing the amenities you are supposed to receive, I did not pack my usual shampoo, cream rinse, Q-tips, cotton balls, shower cap, etc. The amenities were not the upgrades, and I had to ask and wait 2 full days for some. Our slippers and tote bag were not received until day 3, and that was after heading down to guest services multiple times. One of the cabins did not have robes upon embarkation. They were received the following day. There was no bottle of wine awaiting us either -- found out later after speaking with the supervisor of guest services that you need to ask to have it delivered. We have been in Aqua class before -- if they change how things are done, they really need to communicate. We had really talked up Celebrity, especially Aqua class, to our friends, and frankly, I was a little embarrassed. Very disappointing. More about the cabin below. Embarkation was the quickest we have ever experienced, and we were on board the earliest ever. The food and service at Blu was amazing. Cannot say enough good things about this restaurant -- it is worth booking Aqua class just to eat here. No need for a specialty restaurant. The buffet was very good for most breakfasts and lunches. We stopped by the comedy show on the first night but did not stay. He was so/so. We didn't go to any of the other shows. Overall, the ship was clean and service was good.
Overall, our cabin was kept clean. The bathroom was a mess. The shower doors did not meet and did not stay closed. The plastic stripping at the bottom of the doors was non-existent. The bathroom floor was like a lake after even the quickest shower, even with multiple pool towels covering it. Husband went down to guest relations multiple times on the first 2 days and was told they knew about the shower issue, but after I slipped coming out of the shower, we were granted a meet with the supervisor of guest services. Only after speaking with the supervisor did the rest of our amenities arrive and the plastic stripping on the bottom of the shower doors magically appeared. The upgraded amenities never did appear.
