We like Norwegian and it works with the schedule we have. Have been on the Gem before but feel she needs a refurbishing. Carpets were worn in many areas - the transition of caret from stairs to next level was deceiving, had to be really careful did not miss the step and fall. It was obvious that our cabin had a problem since over my bed the ceiling was black and had some of the ceiling material missing . The wait staff is very efficient to serving alcoholic beverages BUT one of our group does not drink alcohol and had to wait at least 5 too 10 minutes after we had our drinks before he received either his Pepsi or coffee. The ship ran out of creamers and strawberry jam (I can maybe see the running out of jam BUT not creamers. Think it is time for the entertainment on the Gem needs to be changed in the routines used - we love Mr. Tim but his performances used the same material as the year before. I did not care for the female singer but that is just me. The dance troupe/singer are wonderful but again it was the same shows as the year before. I think that for most people cruising you should have instructions as to how the shower controls work or someone could get really burned. We still love cruising and dealing with Norwegian but my thoughts as requested. THANK YOU
