Before you choose this ship, please do some reasearch first. My husband and I went on the Breeze in 2014 and LOVED it so we could not help by compare certain things the Breeze had that the Sunshine was lacking. The ship rocked the whole time, I don’t know if it was because of the water being a bit choppy or because of what happened in October.

The layout didn’t bother me. Compared to other ships, the Sunshine only have 3 hot tubs total - two on the Lido deck and one in serenity, but serenity does have a pool - that was freezing cold. I agree with others that the serenity on the Sunshine is the best in the fleet.

The public restrooms were very tight and only a few had extra room for a parent & kid or wheelchair.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin 8A

They gave us 3 chairs on the Balcony for the 3 of us. Three chairs doesn’t really fit but it helped keep the door open at times. Digno our steward was great. I thought I lost something in the cabin, but he found it! Thank you Digno! No fridge, but didn’t really matter to us. This was a good location, as it seems a lot of things were in the aft part of the ship.

Port Reviews

Grand Turk

Rented golf carts outside the gates of the cruise terminal for A LOT less then what the companies were charging inside the terminal.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata)

You can’t really go outside the port, since it seems Amber Cove is an island off of the Dominican Republic. The pool and zip line there are fun.
