I originally chose the Norwegian Sun for the 10 night Panama Canal cruise because I really wanted to go to the Panama Canal and I had been to a lot of other ports in the Caribbean but none of these ones . Prior to this cruise I have been on it many other cruises in different cruise lines.this is my second time sailing with Norwegian, I’ve sailed with princess four times, carnival wants and, Holland America once. The embarkation process was easy then we got to our room unpacked and decided to have something to eat . The food is OK for the most part in flavor in the dining room is not really great in the buffet it’s sort of all the same and very average. The biggest problem I found with this whole trip is that nobody pays attention to when you have loads of dirty dishes on your table and they don’t clean them up promptly even if you remind them then they pass the buck off to somebody else. They don’t come to check on you I eat into see the quality of the food or to see if you’re happy with it and they definitely don’t come to ask if you want refills on your drinks they will take the initial order and that’s it . The shows were super painful to watch the comedian Johnny was not funny at all the magician dizzy seemed very scattered on stage although he had some good magic in the end he needs to figure out his performance to act glass all over the place the Whitney Houston in person or was amazing and the shows done by their the Norwegian Dancers were very good. Norwegian is very well known for their selling aspect they are constantly trying to sell you things among all the cruise lines I’ve been on the bingo prizes the tournament prices and most of the other fees were higher than I’ve ever experienced. A bottle of water or require you to mortgage your house. The drink package cost $1500 and does not even include bottled water. Los Lagos cantina was delicious probably the highlight of all the food on my trip I was very disappointed to find out the dining room did not do anything special no lobster dinner no crab dinner no filet mignonette...nothing special at all all of their dinners were very below average. When I have sailed with princess in the past on the breakfast menu they have all of their usual consistencies but they do have one feature in the morning every day Norwegian had none of that it was just the same the average time we spent in the dining room for dinner by the time we got our entrées was over 2 1/2 hours so in order to get the 9 PM show you would need to go to dinner by 630. The Internet manager was so rude because I spent 13 minutes of my Internet time trying to access one website he said to me “what do you expect we are in the middle of the sea with ocean surrounding us and there’s going to be slowdowns” The cabins are decent and my room steward was good however he annoyed the piss out of me when he unplugged all of the cords and electronics every time he came around this caused a huge fight between my sister and I because every time he would unplug the cable he would just put it wherever and then our items would get mixed up.I hate that Norwegian still has salt water pools why can’t they be like princess cruises and have a freshwater price how much more difficult is that? The fitness center was beautiful however they don’t have professionals teaching the classes we were taught one of the body Boot Camp classes by somebody who very similarly resembled Hitler he was awful did not take the time to show us techniques of modification and he didn’t care about whether you got injured or not one of which my family member did get injured. I am putting a poor score for the shore excursions not because they very bad they were very good most of them except for the horse and buggy ride in Columbia the problem is with the price thankfully I had a $50 credit per port, but how did I’ve not been for that credit I would’ve been paying almost $200 for the ones that I wanted to do ridiculous if you ask me. Finally our cabin which was supposed to be ocean view room was a picture window but it faced the promenade deck which I guess if you like it does face the ocean but you have to go through the promenade deck and you have to keep your curtains closed all the time because people are constantly walking past your window. All in all I was able to enjoy my vacation because of the porch that we went to in the family that I was spending time with but I definitely gave Norweigan a shot twice now and both times they were disappointed

Cabin Review

Partially Obstructed Oceanview Porthole Window

Cabin OK

As I said above in my review this was supposed to be a partially obstructed Oceanview however it was in full view of the promenade deck so people are constantly walking past your window so I might as well have not had a window at all because I had to keep the curtains closed to prevent people from looking into my cabin

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

Cayman by bicycle was the best! I just wish we could been told to bring our swimsuits but it was awesome

Havana

Amazing tour guide. Fantastic tour! Loved it! At the end the driver told me we did not tip him enough! Bad form
