We have cruised approximately 15 times in our lives and choose Norwegian as last year we sailed on Norwegian Escape for the first time on the Norwegian line and absolutely loved everything about it. Because of that experience, we booked the Bliss as it was Norwegian's newest ship. Overall the ship is beautiful but the difference between the Bliss and the Escape was the crew. The majority of the crew was not friendly and did not seem to want to be there. You rarely saw the cruise director although you saw the assistant a lot. Food was very good but service in the restaurants was extremely slow or missing including the specialty restaurants. Some meals took over three and a half hours and you had to beg to get your water glasses filled and another drink. On the Escape the Captain and his staff would walk around and talk to the passengers and engage them in conversation. On the Bliss the Captain and his staff was non-existent. The post cruise survey was very directed and didn't really ask for comments or details on each section which made it very hard to give constructive criticism. We will give Norwegian one more try to see if it was just this ship.
Cabin was very nice with lots of space for your things. Temperature in cabin was up and down. We wanted it cold all the time but during the night the air went out several times except for the first night.
Stayed in Miami the night before and got on ship early. Plenty of stuff to do in Miami, great night life.
Unless you are on a excursion not much to do in port. Not a lot of bars and restaurants.
