Our Viking Christmas market cruise began in Budapest at a hotel because of the low waters. Oliver was our Tour Director and he went above and beyond to keep us informed and to make sure we were all happy with our accommodations. We ended up being bussed to Vienna, Austria where it was day by day whether we would have to do a ship swap. Our cruise was the very first cruise in 6 months that made it down the Danube without having to change ships. Every day we were kept informed and knew what was happening in advance. Even if we ended up with some early mornings, everything was done to keep us on schedule and to make sure we got to do the tours.
The entire crew worked hard to make it a pleasurable experience. All of the guides on the tours that Viking chose for us was Top Notch.
Loved every minute of it and I cannot say enough good things about our Tour Director, Oliver.
Our room was nice with a balcony. Small, but adequate. The tv channels were excellent, what little time we spent in our cabin.
We toured the World War 2 exhibit and were very pleased with the knowledge and information that we received. Enjoyed visiting the Court room and the exhibit hall. The historic sights were fabulous.
I would have liked to have more time visiting Christmas Markets in Nuremberg. Our schedule showed 2 days, but one day was leaving for Prague at 7 AM. Not time at all in Nuremberg.
What little time we had at the Christmas market, I loved this city.
Excellent guide with an Organ concert at the church in Regensburg. A great little city with lots of history.
This is a beautiful small town with lots of history and was a delight to be able to walk through the area and see all of the old buildings.
Excellent guide and walking tour of downtown Vienna. Very impressed with the amount of knowledge that the guide knew and how well Viking kept the tours on time even if we were going to be late docking.
Budapest was an interesting city. I did not think the Christmas markets were as nice as the other places we visited.
