We arrived one day early due to concerns with winter weather and stayed at the Comfort Inn Cruise Port South Hotel. Basic hotel with a Taco Bell and McDonalds right next door. Also, there is an outdoor mall adjacent to the hotel with a K Mart. Took a shuttle to Miami Cruise Port the next morning.

Check-in at the Miami Port was real smooth. Rooms were ready at 1:15 pm and luggage arrived around 3ish. We had a relaxing lunch outdoors and went on a tour of the ship. I was initially concerned with the age and size of the ship but it was well maintained and clean. Nice size. We had plenty of room for our clothing in the closets and drawers in our room. Since we were in concierge, we had fresh fruit daily, a bottle of welcoming champagne, and daily snacks in the late afternoon. I never had the sense of being crowded as there is a nice flow to the ship and many hide-a-ways.

All of the meals were well prepared whether it was in the Islands Cafe (buffet style) or in the Grand Restaurant. Service was exceptional and the hot foods were always served hot. The cold fruit soups were outstanding. On the ship, the morale of the staff was outstanding. They were friendly and attentive to our needs. We did not encounter any difficulties at all. We did eat in Murano and it was exceptional. They had a special that night, Chateaux Briand. My wife had it the night before for dinner in the main restaurant but this was really exceptional. The Goat Cheese Souffle appetizer was 5 star.
