This was our 12th cruise, but only 2nd on Princess. The ship is beautiful, well kept and laid out nicely. Our cabin (Delux Balcony) was the smallest of any ship we've sailed on. Our friends had a balcony room which was even smaller. If you're not booking a suite, at least go for the delux balcony. Our room steward was great, very attentive and always had a smile. The crew were all exceptionally friendly and provided great service. The food was definitely lacking. The Horizon became a boring lunch. We opted for Alfredo's for lunch. Actually the hot dogs on the Lido deck were better than food in the Horizon. Seemed like leftovers. Dining rooms were not much better for dinner. We're really not fans of Golden Corral! We wasted our money on specialty dining. Steak was served cold as was the lobster tail and creamed spinach. We had to send it back, which we hate to do. Desserts were no different than served elsewhere. The food gets barely a 2 out of 5 stars. The only plus was the ship not being crowded due to lots of empty cabins. Our friends asked to be moved when their phone & TV were not working on Marina deck. They were told "no" because it was a full ship! That was totally a lie. Ports were disappointing. Somehow we managed to just enjoy the uncrowded ship and all her glory to make it a nice trip. Didn't have to worry about gaining weight this time!
Very clean and fresh. Room steward was excellent. Smallest cabin & balcony of any ship we've sailed on. Our RV bathroom is larger! Room was actually adequate after you became used to the size. At least there was a small love seat.
