I was on 3 back to back cruises. 2 with Carnival and 1 with Norwegian. I expected more for the price of the cruise, but the staff was extremely rude, the pubic spaces are way too small so it was always overcrowded and the restaurants, buffet areas were always understaffed. I will not be cruising with Norwegian again.
Our interior room was on deck 8 at the very front of the ship. It was extremely loud. You can hear the ship when we're pulling into port. I'm not exactly sure what it was but I assume it was the engine or steering equipment. Also, the 2 times we had to tender to port, when the anchor was put down the entire cabin would shake like an earthquake. Not the greatest to wake up to around 7am.
The Entertainment wasn't that great. The activities are geared toward the elderly. I've never seen so many people on scooters on a cruise ship. It was odd.
Small and VERY LOUD
The embarkation process was extremely inefficient. Lots of waiting
Terrible port. We get off the ship expecting a normal port, instead we walk through a crowd of people waiting to get on buses, and walk out onto a street. No shops, restaurants...nothing. Disney ports on the other side of the island. It's much better. We ended up hiring a driver and going to a few tourist spots and ended up enjoying ourselves
Booked a local tour for Stingray City, Starfish Beach (norwegian does not offer) and Reef Snorkel. Had a great time
One of my favorite ports. Lots to do at the port if you don't want to go anywhere.
Port was ok. Booked a local tour for some cave tubing.
Norwegians private island. You still have to pay for EVERYTHING. I much preferred Disney's island where all was included.
Great port. Lots to do
Lots to do in port. We booked a local excursion for a day long beach resort with included food and drinks. They also offered snorkeling and parasailing.
