UK Booking Office, Website and Tech Support should all be closed - the "service" provided and poor systems just aren't good enough. As MSC is starting to focus on the American market, just move it all there so we can deal with people accustomed to customer service.
We booked Yacht Club - the prices are getting too steep for us now, so we had an inside cabin (14005). This is by far the worst cabin we have had in 40 cruises. I will review that separately.
Boarding the ship is usually an enjoyable experience for those in Yacht Club. Luggage taken at the roadside and within your cabin in under 30 minutes. A separate check-in area, complete with drinks and snacks and a private butler-led escort to the YC area.
Do NOT BOOK THIS CABIN - if you have it, change it.
The cabin has a total of TWO drawers and a hanging rail.
The lovely pod coffee machine has to be put away in the wardrobe in an attempt to make some space on the "desk" area.
The cabin is so small that each side of the bed there is approx 12 inches of space.
The bathroom sink is at such an angle that sitting on the toilet is an olympic event; and you have to sit virtually sideways. The shower is tiny even for cruise ship standards.
BUT the biggest issue with this particular cabin is the large void behind it - a crew stairway / store which is all metal and without any sound insulation. The noise echoed throughout the day and during the night - it was insane.
DO NOT BOOK THIS CABIN - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
