We had always wanted to visit New Zealand and this cruise allowed us to sample this amazing country. The whole experience that The Solstice offered was first class. We stayed on deck 9 mid ships in a good sized balcony cabin. Great bed and storeage facilities along with a large and well appointed shower room. As soon as we got on board the quality of service was evident. Staff at all levels were only too happy to help. The quality of food and bar service was amazing. We took the premium drinks package and this allowed us to get all of our favourite wines, spirits, beers and cocktails with no concerns about running up a large bar bill.Add to this premium coffees from the cafe and we were very happy. The pool arreas are excellent and there were ample sun beds ensuring we always achieved a good spot to enjoy the great weather that we had. We sampled all of the restaurants and the quality of food and service was first class. The speciality restaurants are excellent but we would have been more than happy to dine each night in the main dining room where the menus are varied and service very friendly and efficient.

We didn't go on any of the excursions,we prefer to do our own thing and this worked well. Port embarkation so and tender facilities worked well and there was always staff on hand to assist.

To sum up, we loved our cruise.
