We chose this cruise for the Southern Caribbean itinerary. I have been on 50 plus cruises and traveled with 5 others age 25 to 55.

First off, the ship is spotless. Yes it is older but beautiful non the less. The ship is definitely in need of an overhaul but still nice. The crew is wonderful and many called us by name after just one encounter. The cruise director Patrick and his staff were great! We only had one sea day but they were also ready to get the fun started.

We used Uber from our hotel to the port and after the cruise. Very easy and about 1/3 of the cost of a taxi. Plus the Uber driver we’re great! When you leave the cruise terminal just ask security where the Uber pick up is. Do not ask the folks selling shuttles they lied to us and told us there is no Uber in San Juan. The pick up is to the right of the terminal exit around the corner. Now back to the cruise. The food in MDR was good and the service was quick. We were in Aqua Class so we also ate at Blu a few times. Blu has outstanding service but we were not impressed with the food selections. The afternoon canapés delivered to our cabin were disgusting. They were only delivered 4 days and one of those days a long blond hair was in the food. Also, most of the canapés were unidentifiable, why don’t they come with a description so we know what’s on the plate? There were a few unidentifiable items on the buffet at dinner every night. Why not put a sign on each and every item? I don’t like to guess what the food is. Speaking of buffet, every other cruise line offer fat free salad dressing on the buffet EXCEPT Celebrity...big miss Celebrity...many people like to have healthy choices.
