First of all I have no vested interest with the cruise industry nor have any interest in promoting or cheerleading any cruise line. We were Elite Plus with Celebrity, but that was in the past. Our mission on this cruise was to evaluate the new tack that Celebrity was taking with it's Edgefication. I won't repeat others' comments. Our comments are for those experienced cruisers who are wondering if the new Celebrity is for them.

We booked an E3 IV cabin but 15 hours before arrival at the port we were upgraded to an AQ IV cabin. This lead to initial slip up - baggage delivery Since we had no updated luggage tags, I made up my own and attached them to the luggage. At the embarkation car stop, we dropped off bags and the baggage handler added some more. Bottom line my spouses' made it to our new room , but mine did not. Five hours later after escalating it from the room attendant up to customer service to Captains Club, they had no ide where th bag was. so I started cruising the hallways and found my bag in 10 min in fron of our original room. Upon inspection of the bag tags, someone crossed out our new room and wrote the old room number, Apparently the ship data system was behind the curve Incredibly no employee could figure out what happened. Another piece of data discrepancy was our new passes along with App did not update, yet the shore side Celebrity system was up to date. We'll attribute this to start up glitches.

As others have commented the AQ room was small. I cannot fathom how one could take a 3 week destination cruise with divergent weather from hot to cold and contain all the clothes in the provided storage. We would be working out of our luggage.

Cabin Review

AquaClass Stateroom with Veranda

Cabin A2

Too small for longer cruises, bathroom was good except for short shower wand. Window system has a lot to be desired. Quiet room could not tell if we had neighbors. IV window feature keeps all the noise from veranda activity to a non existent level.

AQ water is purified water with off taste.
