We stayed in Fort Lauderdale 2 1/2 days prior to sailing. It was nice to get used to sunshine and warm temperatures again. We walked around a lot and also explored the city by the water taxi. Highly recommendable.
Embarkation went smooth. We were in Port Everglades around 11.30 a.m. The people checking us in was in a great mood, and I think we waited approx. 15 minutes to get on board. Disembarkation took a little longer, as there were some problems with the luggage (not ours specifically) but we enjoyed this extra time outside the cafe in the sun. As we did not have a flight this day, we just relaxed.
All in all the ship was fine. I was never a fan of carpeting, but I guess it is a good solution on a ship. I liked the size, easy to be familiar with.
Nice but dates cabin. Space ok also in the bathroom. Many places to store things. The obstructed view was no problem. I would book the same in a heart beat. It was placed relatively close to stairs and elevators. No noise from elevators but very convenient.
We did a privae beach tour and afterwards did a bit of shopping. This is a duty and taxfree area. I did not know before.
