We choose this cruise because we heard so much about how Disney cruising is the best of the best and sets the standard for all, other cruise lines, as well as it being a Merry Christmastime cruise. That being said, while it was a very nice ship and a wonderful cruise, it was not the ‘be all, end all’ of cruising.
The 3 Disney shows were very entertaining but the juggler and the ventriloquist were average run of the mill entertainment. In addition, the food, while good, was no better or worse than we’ve had on other cruise lines.
If you have children, then I would say that Disney is definitely the cruise line to choose. The character interaction with the kids was great as there always seemed to be characters moving around and meeting with the kids. If you don’t, the cruise was still very good, but I wouldn’t go so far as to call it fantastic.
We had a deluxe inside stateroom with a magical porthole which gave a view from the rear of the ship. It made the cabin much more interesting. Would definitely booked this category of cabin again.
We got on the bus and drove around the island but our tour guide never said one word during the tour. We were left on our own to figure out what we were seeing.
Visited a local chocolate factory and watched a brief demonstration of some cocoa beans are crushed. This factory visit and the island tour list above were both part of the same excursion. Definitely a disappointment.
Didn’t take an excursion but enjoyed walking around the island and partaking in the barbecue.
