We chose this cruise because our friends asked us to join them to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. We have cruised from California to Hawaii twice before. So, we expected the cold weather for the crossings but we had never experienced such rough seas both going and coming back. We are seasoned cruisers and have never been seasick. However, my husband was sea sick twice. The ship is in need of the upcoming dry dock. It is worn and rusty. The ceiling was leaking in the Vista Lounge and in the hallways. Our cabin was clean and well maintained. The bed was very comfortable. Our cabin stewart was super! The crew was exceptional. The food, however, was lacking. It just was not up to par with the many other Princess cruises we have enjoyed. We ate in the dining room and in the Horizon. It was disappointing. We ate in the Crown Grill which was a delicious dining experience.
